Scott Jones was called to the Jamaican bar in July 2013. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He then obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours from The University of Liverpool and successfully completed the Barrister Professional Training Course at BPP Law School in London where he was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Scott concluded his legal studies at Norman Manley Law School.
Scott is a keen mooter having participated in many international mooting competitions. Of particular note is his performance in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria where he topped the scoring in his round. His leadership abilities became particularly apparent after being vetted through several rounds of interviews at the age of 16, he was selected by the Farquharson Institute of Public Affairs as a youth ambassador for Jamaica to advocate for children's rights at the United Nations World Summit for Children in 2001.
Scott is a member of the firm's Commercial department where his desk includes Mergers & Acquisitions, Pension Funds, Intellectual Property, Banking and Finance, and Compliance. His professional interests include Betting and Gaming Law and Sports and Entertainment Law. Scott is an avid golfer and a very keen tennis player.
