Jahmar has worked with our firm since November 2016 in our Litigation Department. His practice areas include General Commercial Litigation with an emphasis on Banking Litigation and Labour Litigation.
He has represented financial institutions, hotels, credit unions, banks, expatriates and aggrieved workers at the Industrial Disputes Tribunal and the Supreme Court. Jahmar also has experience with the transfer of workers in acquisitions and mergers.
Jahmar graduated from Jamaica College in 2010 where he served as School Captain as well as Captain for the Schools Challenge Quiz Team. He studied law by virtue of the Carlton Alexander Scholarship which was awarded to him by the Grace Kennedy Foundation for his academic performance.
Jahmar read for his law degree at the University of the West Indies (UWI) and for his Legal Education Certificate at the Norman Manley Law School. He represented UWI at the Caribbean Court of Justice Moot Court Competition in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He also represented the Law School at the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot in Germany.
Jahmar has a love for music and can often be found on weekends at a reggae concert when he is not fishing along Jamaica’s coastline.
