Samantha Moore was called to the bar in December 2012. She spent 3 years in the firm's Property and Estates Department before joining the firm’s Commercial Department. There she handled a variety of real estate transactions including the drafting of commercial and residential leases, mortgages and agreements for sale and the review, preparation and probating of wills. As a member of the firm's Commercial Department, her core areas include Data Protection and Privacy Rights, Intellectual Property, Product Registration and Consumer Protection, Company Acquisitions, Public Procurement, Charities Law, Insurance Law and Distributorship Agreements.
Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations with Upper Second Class Honours and a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours, both from the University of the West Indies. In 2010, Samantha began her studies at the Norman Manley Law School where she earned a place on the Principal's Honour Roll as well as a Legal Education Certificate of Merit. Samantha also received multiple prizes for her outstanding academic achievements which include the Raphael Codlin Prize to the most outstanding student over two years as well as The Grant, Stewart, Phillips & Co. Prize to the most outstanding student in Civil Procedure & Practice 1 and 2 over two years.
Samantha is a member of the Commercial Law and the Telecommunications, Broadcasting & Technology Sub-Committees of the Jamaican Bar Association. She enjoys travelling in her spare time.
