Gavin Goffe is the Head of our Litigation Department. His practice is generally focused on employment law, public law and tax. Gavin has a vibrant practice in the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and before the Industrial Disputes Tribunal. The Labour Practice Group that he leads has been involved in several landmark court decisions related to unjustifiable dismissal in Jamaica. He has also been involved in ground-breaking cases concerning planning and development regulations.

Gavin tutors Civil Procedure and Practice at the Norman Manley Law School. His love for teaching was borne from decades as a volunteer teaching Math and English to adult learners in Kingston. In 2008, he co-founded The Adult Learning Centres of Jamaica, a not-for-profit organisation focused on improving adult literacy.

Gavin is a member of the Council of the Jamaican Bar Association and sits on its Employment Law Committee. He is a member of and former chairman of the advisory board of the Salvation Army, Eastern Jamaica Division. He is also the Honorary Counsel to the British High Commissioner in Jamaica.
